TECHNOLOGIES TO CREATE, CONTROL & DISPLAY
The Company
In this, our 25th year in business, it's time to stop, reflect and thank all of you, our clients, suppliers, friends and family who supported us along the way. It hasn't always been an easy journey, but having you there made it worthwhile.
ITI-Image Group was founded in 1993, when Norbert Schmiedeberg, our Managing Director, left the professional AV division of Kodak Australia, to start his own company. Our premises were simple - to source and supply high quality and innovative products, and solutions to meet the needs and requirements of our customers, and to support them realising their visions and projects.
Since then, our product range has expanded to cover a wide range of AV applications and markets and our customer base has increased to include convention and exhibition centres, production companies, Audio Visual professionals, in rental and staging, and corporate Audio Visual users, in arts, architecture, education and many other professions.
In an effort to provide the best customer service and support to our diverse range of customers and their businesses, ITI-Image Group has been consistently committed to the understanding of their needs and requirements.
From our initial operation in Australia and New Zealand, we now have customers in many Asian countries, in particular Japan and Korea. We haven't however lost sight of what is most important: our relationships with customers and suppliers, many of which date more than 30 years, since Norbert's days at Kodak.
To all our customers, and our suppliers, old and new, again, our thank you. We look forward to many more years of working together.
Founder & Managing Director
Norbert Schmiedeberg has been in the AV industry since 1979, when he joined the Professional AV division of Kodak Germany, as technical representative. While visiting German AV professionals he developed an enduring love of the industry and of multi-image presentations.
After immigrating to Australia, in 1983, Norbert joined the Professional AV division at Kodak Australasia. He organized trade shows, technical workshops and multi-image production workshops, targeted at AV professionals and corporate AV users. He also provided consultancy on AV technology, its application and integration, to professionals from different fields, such as AV professionals, government and corporate AV presenters and architects.
Norbert maintained a worldwide focus on the AV industry and its trends, by attending international trade shows and exhibitions and by visiting AV installations. He identified innovative AV products and brands overseas, which he introduced to the Australian market (through Kodak), such as the now well-known AV Stumpfl screens and Dataton systems.
A lover of multi-image presentations, Norbert was a member of the Judging Committee of the (now defunct) American Multivision Association (AMA) and a member of the Steering Committee of the (now defunct) Australian Association of Multi Image (AAMI). Also, he created opportunities for Australian AV professionals to share the experience of viewing good presentations, by bringing international award-winning shows to Australia and presenting them in AV showcase events.
Norbert gained a reputation of integrity, honesty and high level of knowledge of the industry and its applications. When he left Kodak, in 1993, and founded ITI-Image Group, these 'values' became the basis for ITI-Image Group operations and approaches.
As Managing Director of ITI-Image Group, Norbert continues to travel extensively and maintains a high level of knowledge of the AV industry and its trends. He feels fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet many creative minds and many leaders of the AV industry worldwide. He also feels fortunate to have been responsible for identifying and introducing many innovative and high quality products and solutions into the Asia-Pacific AV market. And he hopes to keep doing that for some time to come.
Products
Our products selection is primarily based upon quality, performance, good design and innovation. In addition, we source products that meet specific needs and requirements of our customers, or particular market niches.
We believe in building stronger relationship with our suppliers and our long experience in the industry has given us the unique opportunity to work close with manufacturers and, at times, contribute towards product development.
Until recently, top of the range products have constituted the basis of our offers. We have however, made the decision to include a small range of products to the budget conscious customer. We do however continue to strive not to compromise on quality, even when selecting those products.
